A Thick Nokia N81 With Built-In Wi-Fi
The smartphone features the same dedicated music and volume controls that made the 5310 a great music/radio phone. The Nokia N81 8GB has the same audio/video jack that accepts standard earphones or headphones. The song or radio station (FM only) currently playing is also automatically paused when a call or text comes in, and twin external speakers make this phone loud. A switch on the top locks the buttons (instead of the menu-asterisk combo found on most other Nokia phones), preventing accidental usage.
Another great feature of the N81 8GB is the built-in Wi-Fi, which lets the phone take full advantage of the local coffee shop. Basic tasks such as checking email and reading news sites is possible within the vicinity of a hotspot, while more complicated tasks such as writing blog posts requires some patience with the phone’s numeric keypad.
